Life on the Edge?

This geranium is about the only thing that is blooming outside my house this week, except for a few roses.

I have been reading about Microsoft's new Edge browser, but haven't had a chance to try it out yet. Has anybody here tried it and what do you think? I have always preferred Firefox, but lately it wasn't working right with myLot (probably because I upgraded to Windows 10) and so I have been missing out on participation here. I probably just needed to upgrade Firefox, but it works OK with everything else. Today I tried Chrome and it works much better for this site. Right now I am going to find a download site for Edge and give it a try. The hype on it sounds very exciting.

@jstory07 You may be smarter than me. I always jump into this stuff feet first, and, yes, sometimes it is frustrating. But I have the Edge loaded and it seems to be working well...very fast so far. I haven't gotten to the bells and whistles yet.

Although some people do well with 10, in conflicted with something in my 8.1 computer. So I had to have it repaired, and I did not like 8 or 8.1 so my repair person put it back to 7. He says wait until 10 has been around a while.

@GardenGerty It has been some time and now I am liking 10 quite well and Edge, too, although it is annoying that it is not available on all of my devices, as is Firefox.

@cgalavia I was using Firefox long before they invented Chrome, but now people are calling Edge the "new Chrome." So far I am liking it, and I used to hate Bing, but now it is paying. I am working toward my first $5 Amazon gift card just using Bing to learn about Edge. I think that is a nice touch.

@cgalavia I guess it has been in the USA for years, but I never heard of the reward program until now.

I had 8.0 on my laptop, got the upgrade to 8.1 and now the Windows 10. I like it. It doesn't have the spell check like I like but I like the hover aspect and everything was relatively easy to find and to navigate.

I haven't tried edge and it's my first time to hear about it. Is it a new browser?

Yes @cherriefic it only works on windows 10. I expected not to like it, but actually I am loving it. Windows 8 was so awful, but 10 is working well for me, and Edge lives up to its name.

I haven't upgraded to Windows 10 yet. But, I thought it came as an automatic browser, unless you refrained from downloading it when you switched over. Do you like Windows 10 thus far?

I didn't allow Edge to be installed when switching to Windows 10 because at that time Firefox was working OK. Edge is a bit better than Chrome, I think. I like Windows a WHOLE lot better than 8.
