This Deputy Sheriff before his shift started stopped at a Dunkin Donuts for breakfast and as he was about to pay a little boy said I want to pay for that.
The Officer said "In 26 years of my law enforcement career, nothing like that ... has ever happened to me."
The parents told him as soon as he walked in the little boy said I want to pay for his breakfast because he helps so many people .
With all the bad publicity recently this is a welcome change.
This boy is being raised to know that most police officers are there to help and I give his parents a thumbs up.
By the way this took place in Florida.

This is refreshing for a change. We all know not all cops are bad. But there again, the media has to shove it in our faces. Okay, there are some bad cops. Some corrupt cops. But not all are. It's the same with people. They make all Arabs out to be bad people because of the terrorism. Stereotyping. That's the problem. People see Italian as all mafia, all irish as drunks. I think you get the picture. This is a nice story and we need more of them in the news.

The parents were with the child and allowed him to pay for the officers breakfast.

It definitely would be nice if others would be willing to do the same.

Great story. He and the boy who saved him money for the police to have a birthday celebration instead of him should get together.

It is sure to pep up the policemen, to do better, in their daily routines. Thanks to that bright spark of a boy.

How sweet. His parents will have to bring him up to be law-abiding, lol. There are such a lot of bad stories about cops lately, but also a lot of tragedies where cops are being killed and silly stuff where people refuse to serve cops at restaurants. This is a nice change.

This little boy is being raised in the proper way to know that a officer is there to help and that is why he wanted to pay for the offier's breakfast.

"Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings."
Yes, it's true that the lad was raised well by his parents (and probably heard at school, too) to think well of the police but it was HE who thought of the idea and wanted to make his appreciation known.
Bully for him!
(I'm glad, too that the family has been found and will meet up with and be thanked once again, this time officially, by Officer Jackson.)
