The Sister called me at 6:57 am to find out if I wanted to go to the supermarket with her. She's a bit wound up and not sleeping so she was raring to go. I was in my nightgown . But I agreed and we were off very early. I haven't been out for a few days and I was amazed. There are so many trees turning color out there! I really didn't think that Autumn had started, but it's progressing quite nicely. And yet, it wasn't until we were on our way home and a block from my house that I thought about taking out my phone to get a picture. Hence, the photo on this post is from Pixabay. But I will try to get out and get some foliage photos as soon as I can. I don't think there is anything more beautiful than the trees in the Autumn. Do you have seasons and if so, do you like Autumn best or are you more of a Spring Daffodil kind of person?

It's endlessly fascinating. Strange, I know. It's like sunset, though. There's one every day but still, you find yourself staring up into the sky in wonder at the streaks of color.

Autumn is definitely my favourite month, and behind it is Spring, which I'm experiencing now. The blossoms are starting to be blown off the trees and being replaced by green leaves.

For me, that's the saddest time of year. Spring puts out these wonderful blossoms and all the trees are colorful and decorated as if for a fairy party. Then the wind comes and strips them all away. After that, everything goes a boring green.

@Rollo1 but green is never boring, there are so many wonderful shades of it. Oh how you would hate NewZealand then with all it's magnificent green.

I prefer the colors of the Autumn, even the fruits of Fall are in the shades of red, yellow, dark green and brown, look at the chestnuts, persimmon, pumpkin, apples, they look wonderful.

Yes, exactly Anna. All those deep and rich earth tones with the vibrant reds and oranges. It's just very warming to the soul, even as the air chills the body.

can't wait to see all the pics yer gonna take! 'round these parts, autumn is mostly dirtied shades 'f yellows 'n browns so aint much to get excited 'bout - though i still do my best to find the beauty in such. i'm a spring gal myself 'n take great delight in schtuff wakin' up, those tiny shoots peekin' through 'n the unfurlin' 'f life.

I like both autumn and spring. I do enjoy seeing the leaves change color, especially the ones that turn red. Some of the leaves are turning here but there are plenty that are still green. By the end of October many of the leaves will be on the ground.

I like them on the ground, too. Shuffling through the leaves was one of my favorite childhood pastimes.

@Rollo1 We used to rake them up and then jump in the pile and thought it was one of the greatest parts of fall. Unfortunately my children don't get that opportunity very often, my neighborhood doesn't have a lot of trees.

I wish some one would call me and see if I want to go to the store. Since I quit driving and have hardly any family to speak of finding transportation to get to the store and to appointments has really become a problem. I don't like to ask but we have to eat. My daughter's boyfriend had an accident so his car is out of commission. Ugh! The leaves are changing here too but not that much. Just a little yellow or brown here and there.

The Fall has definitively the best colors of all seasons. Here it is just beginning to show some colors.

I guess we had a cold spell that got them going here. Ours are late compared to the foliage-famous states to our north, but when they turn, they are just as beautiful.

It's like a lovely work of art that Nature provides to us once a year. Every season has beauty of its own.
