I am cheating today

No, it's not what you think...I don't have the desire, time or energy to cheat on my husband. I'm cheating on dinner. I declared it a no cooking day. Two days ago I made an eye round roast, and it was delicious. Of course there is still half of it left. That will be dinner this evening. My husband will most likely want a hot roast beef sandwich and I will have a cold roast beef sandwich with a ton of ketchup. I just love ketchup! I will have to throw together two salads but that's not rocket science. Now I have to decide if I have the desire to bake a cake?

I wouldn't say leftovers counted as cheating on dinner, after all you did cook it at one point... As for the desire to bake, cakes are always worth the effort, I'd say do it...

It is wonderful when we have food leftover and do not need to cook for an evening. I have baked lasagna in the freezer, I wonder if take them out or prepare salmon with sauce. I have 30 minutes left to decide.

I like those sort of meals... not a fan of ketchup though ... but a little horseradish mixed in with some mayo would be fine...

I can't eat mayo or other dairy so ketchup is it for me - or mustard.

Cake is always a good idea. And I won't blame you for not wanting to cook dinner. We do need some rest sometimes.

Recycling leftovers is actually a great idea. Roast beef sandwich sounds delicious, by the way. Since you already "cheated" on dinner, I'd say yes to baking that cake.
