Sickie -- That's Me

Canada

I haven't been feeling well today. I've come down with a bad cold. I actually spent a few hours horizontal today. Usually I can get some tinctures from my son who is an acupuncturist and herbalist. They do wonders. Now I'm stuck with the pharmacy. I found some echinacea capsules. Now it's time to make my way to bed again. I hope tomorrow is a better day. I'm still away from home, which makes having a cold worse.

Sorry to hear that. Hope your doing well. I remembered I had the same awful feeling last time because of the changing weather in our place. I'm also kind of worried about my mom. She's been having a really bad cold lately. I just advise her to drink warm water with honey. You can probably do the same thing.

Drinking lots does help. Honey soothes the throat. I'm also taking echinacea right now.

Get well soon. Take care. Chicken soup is great when you have a cold.. throw in a lot of garlic.. It gets rid of the cold.

I am just recovering from a really bad cold so I sympathize. I tried some zinc lozenges, and I think they helped. The Man took them too, and didn't have the cold and now that it's trying to establish its presence in his body, he seems to be shaking it off.

I like using the preventative methods. Zinc can be helpful.

I pray you get well soon. I always take Braggs apple cider vinegar when I have bad colds. You may want to try it too.

@simone10 This has been one of those hanger-on colds with lots of coughing, but I think I'm on the tail end. Thanks.

Thank you, Simone. It was hard to rest enough because we have had visitors, but everyone has gone home now so we should get rested up.

@Sheilamarie78 You are welcome. You have a great resource with your son being a herbalist and acupuncturist! I have always wanted to try acupuncture!

@Shellyann36 I resisted at first, but I have found acupuncture very helpful. I have also been stopped in the street by some of his patients who have raved about the results they're received from his work.

Huh, I thought for sure I responded here already, but maybe I commented on another person's response, not sure for I didn't just read them all again. I see you've not written anything new in about a week, I hope you're doing better with the cold and maybe back home again on your island? Take care of yourself.

We are home now, but still a bit off. We've also had company so I've been unable to get online. We're alone again now, so I hope to catch up.

I hope you feel better soon. It seems the cold season came early this year. I have drunk so much peppermint tea to soothe my throat and nose, I think I'm ready to turn into a candy cane. It's neat that your son is an accupuncturist and herbalist.
