So Much Spam Is Easy To Spot

I just got a spam e-mail demanding that I revise my Paypal customer account. I could tell it was spam as Customer was spelt wrong. Paypal would not have been so amateurish. Spam might work if it was remotely credible. I get letters and e-mails telling me to urgently upgrade my bank account, from banks I don’t have accounts with. I don’t drive but spammers query my car insurance. Clearly they throw their junk in all directions hoping some of it takes root. They might as well invoice me for my hotel stay on Mars. If I get anything that looks like a genuine Paypal query I’ll check my Paypal account by going to it with a direct link, not through the e-mail I receive. I’m not taking any chances. I’m by no means totally impervious to being conned but most spammers don’t even try to make it challenging for me. Arthur Chappell

Do you need visa card to pay through paypal or just email is enough. My paypal account money is automatically transferred to my bank account so I don't have a penny in paypal. So should I keep money in Paypal to do direct money transfer without visa card?

I also do the same way as you . I check directly at Paypal when there's one like that in my email. Nowadays , we should be discerning and very careful in dealing with emails .

I never follow the links I find in the mail, I go directly to the site. If in doubt I even call their free number.

Some of those emails look official and people can get easily scammed. Good thing you didn't get caught up in that scam
