I tend to use different passwords for different sites.
As a result, I tend to forget my password.
I do not usually delete my cache for passwords, so the passwords remain stored in computer.
However, when the site log me out after a period of inactivity, I will have to request for passwords and reset passwords.
That means more passwords to remember.

I keep a hard copy of my passwords and the email address I used and answers to security questions in a secret location so I can access them if I have to. If i have to change a password or info, I try to remember to update it. Also, a lot of them are in code. The letters are reminders of a word or group of words that only I know.

@scheng1 No, I probably should do that, though. Anything financial is in code. I want them to be able to access the bank, pay pal, and other sites if something happens to me. I keep info because sometimes I don't remember my username or which email I used to register. There are emails I don't use anymore, too. Life online can be very difficult if you don't know your info.

This is a problem that seems to bother me. I must have at least a dozen different passwords for various sites and had several more while I was working. Some of these I change periodically, but it seems easy enough for me to remember which I am using.

@scheng1 It is very important for the company to impose a password change because otherwise many people would keep the same one for years, so eventually it will become known.
If you have the option to change a password at work anytime, then you can easily circumvent the change. When requested to change, change it 2 or 3 times and then change it to the original password.

I think when we add in the passwords that we use for our work, online banking, and other sites, the total number of passwords is a large number.
There is no way for us to remember all those passwords.
I hate my office policy that requires us to change our passwords frequently.

I tried to remember all the keywords but I can remember a few only.
Sometimes for banking and stock trading accounts, these always prompt you to change your password.
Whenever I change my password, I will forget about the new passwords soon.
I guess I just have to write down all the passwords

Yes, I start to do that too.
Sometimes it is annoying when one site accepts a password, and that password is rejected by other sites.
i think the banking system is most irritating.
They require password of upper case, lower case, special characters, numbers etc.
