Starting a Blog

In response to one of my MyLot friends I am going to do a little series on starting a blog. First Blogger from Goggle is free so you just need a Goggle account. If you don't have one go to Goggle and open one with a Gmail account. Google+ is a promotional tool a bit like twitter where you can get your Blog out there for people to see. Once you have a Google account, go to Blogger. You will have several choices of the style and colors and designs of blog you want. I like Simple but you can change it any time so don't be overly concerned about which one you choose. Next you need to choose a name. You will have to choose a unique URL so sometimes I have found that harder than the blog's actual name. It can take a lot of tries to find one that hasn't been used so be patient. Now you are ready to write your first post. I usually just introduce myself and what I will be writing about. Don't worry too much honestly in the beginning no one but you will see it and it is easy to fix any mistakes. I am not a techie by any stretch of the imagination, if I can do this, you can do this and if you run into trouble, I will try to help out. I got help from a friend when I started. Believe me, you are not alone, we all started somewhere and we all made mistakes. I will even get on the phone with you if necessary so don't worry a bit!! It's fun.
