Do you buy peanut butter and jelly in separate jar or in same jar?

I like peanut butter and jelly. For the sake of convenience, I buy peanut butter with jelly in the same jar. I guess it is better to buy separately, and spread one piece of bread with peanut butter, and another piece of bread with fruit spread, but I am too lazy to do that!

we used to buy the striped peanut butter, but now that i'm older, i find them too sweet. now we just buy plain peanut butter (sometimes chunky/with peanuts) but i'm the only one who sprinkle raisins on it.

That's a good idea. I never thought of sprinkling raisins to add taste. I have raisins in the fridge, and I add them to oatmeal but never to bread that I used to spread with cheese, butter or peanut butter.

@scheng1 Peanut butter in oatmeal is quite tasty and adds good protein to start your day.

Same jar? I never saw it that way. Of course, separate jar.

I can find both in the same jar, and I rather like the convenience and the taste. i think the demand is there, and this product is never on sale. I think a 10% discount will be great, but they do not do that to products that are already selling well.

@scheng1 I haven't seen any where I live, unless it's Crustables from Smuckers.

I like peanut butter and jelly, but I don't buy them in the same jar. I wanted to when I was a kid, but my dad never would. Now that I'm grown I know why. Sometimes I want JUST peanutbutter. Just a spoonfull to snack on, or dip apples in. Sometimes I want JUST jelly, to put on toast or biscuts. If I bought the mixed PB&J then it would be overly complicated to get JUST one or the other.

haha, that is funny. I buy peanut butter on its own too. That is because my family loves peanut butter just fine, and I do think peanut butter goes well with cheese, but not when it is peanut butter with jelly. I think I have to get separate jars, so that I can add in more or less of peanut butter or jelly.

@scheng1 I have never eaten peanut butter with cheese. What kind of cheese? Now you have me wondering what that tastes like.

I keep those two ingredients separate.

I think it is nice whether you keep both peanut butter and jelly together, or separate. Both are high in sugar, and the taste is great separately too. Both goes well with coffee and bread too. I am glad that we have such good products at reasonable price.

I buy them separately cause I love different types of jelly...some days I like raspberry jam while other days it's strawberry or grape

I think I will do that too. It is great to have a change, and having different jams at home make it enjoyable for breakfast. Anyway when there is a promotion for a certain brand, the promotion is for all different types, so I might as well buy more jars.

Yes, most of the time I buy peanut butter only. My family tends to like peanut butter on their bread. So I am the only one to consume that jar of peanut butter jelly.

Nowadays you get chocolate and peanut butter. I will go for that once we finish what we have.

I have tried the chocolate and peanut butter, and I find it a bit too heaty and too sweet. Even though peanut butter jelly is also sweet, it is not as sweet as the chocolate peanut butter version.

I didn't even know that existed. It sounds terrible.

No, it is not terrible. In fact, it is very nice, but very sweet. We can choose to buy peanut butter with grape jelly stripe or strawberry jelly stripe. I always choose the grapes.
