Did you know that apple cider vinegar is great for so many things? No only is it good for cooking it’s also great for stopping bites from itching.
You can clear up a stuffy or runny nose by simply drinking 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar mixed with water. The potassium in the cider vinegar will help to thin the mucus. Furthermore, the acetic acid found in the vinegar will help prevent the growth of bacteria.
Many young teens have problem with acne. Apple cider vinegar is excellent for control acne and it doesn’t dry out your skin like many acne creams or treatments. Each day wash your face with apple cider vinegar. Use a cotton ball to dab the vinegar on your face and especially on the problem areas. Leave it sit for 15 minutes and then wash your face with clean water. The cider vinegar is a great natural toner for your skin because of its antibacterial properties. Furthermore, it helps to keep your acne under control. Your skin will feel soft and fresh because of the malic and lactic acids found in the cider vinegar.
One thing I love about apple cider vinegar is that it’s great for controlling dandruff. If you have constant problems with dandruff mix ¼ cup of apple cider vinegar with a ¼ cup of water in a spray bottle. Spray on your scalp and wrap your hair in a towel for 15 minutes to 1 hour. The acidity of the cider vinegar will change the pH of your scalp and prevent yeast from grow.
Do you know of any other great uses for apple cider vinegar? I know for a fact after I started to add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to my dog’s food once a week I go trid of all the fleas on them and around my yard.
How do you use apple cider vinegar around your home?

Yes it is good to take the itch out of chigger bites. We bought a bottle when someone suggested it...lucky this house no chiggers so the vinegar stays int he pantry.

I would suggest that before anyone gives their dog's water a dose of vinegar to check with your vet. There are some who don't think this is a wise idea.

I keep mine in the refrigerator once it's opened. I find it stays longer in the topics and doesn't turn. In colder places it's fine to keep it in the pantry.

@AbbyGreenhill I did check with my vet and he said as big as my dog is it's good for him. Plus it helps keeps the fleas and ticks away from him. My vet recommends this here on the islands. Not sure other places but here it's wonderful. The vet said if it's good for us to drink it is good for the animals too.

Since I learned the benefits of apple ciders, a bottle of cider is standing majestically on our dining table!

@poehere O, I work as a part-time host in the largest grocery chain in Canada . . . ciders are cheap and less my 10% discount as an employee . . .

Thanks for sharing benefits of apple cider vinegar in our day to day life. I will have to specifically ask for it from the shopkeeper or will have to search it in the market.

OH I did. I started off with white vinegar. I soaked the puppy in it. Mind you this dog was infested with flea. I don't mean just a few I mean his body was black with fleas and he was so sad. I got tons of them off him like this. It killed them. After I bathed him in vinegar and water. I had to treat him for about a week like this to get them gone. After once a week I put some apple cider vinegar in his food - just a little because he was small - some in his water. After the vinegar treatment and the apple cider vinegar in his water I haven't had a flea problem for 3 years on him now. He is clean and happy and no more itching.

You are so welcome. I was cutting down my yard. I am allergic to bees and wasp sting. I missed a wasp nest and cut right next to it. I was stung like 10 times or maybe more. I ran in the house and got some cotton and apple cider vinegar and started to soak the cotton in the vinegar. I placed it on all of the bites. It drew out the poison in the bites. You could see the cotton turn a different color and it was hot when you took it off. Well keeping it short 3 times of doing this where the bites were didn't well and I didn't get sick from them like I usually do.
