It's probably a great way to get the class to keep quiet too, as you say!

@allknowing it wouldn't work otherwise. I think this one showed muscles; I wonder whether she had a range of others to show the nervous system, circulation, digestive system etc.?

It might be ingenious. It might be creative. It might be innovative. Or it might be that she is a bit of an exhibitionist. Most textbooks have such illustrations in them, not sure this was necessary and it must have given some students a moment or two of anxiety as to her intentions as she started undressing.

I feel for the students as this is something that does not suit a school environment.

I expect she knew her students and what might appeal to them.

I saw that but I don't think I would like a teacher that strips in front of a class. It is just not kosher (acceptable) as far as I'm concerned.

Kudos! You're one in a billion! Oh no! You're the only one. You should be in Guinness. What do you think, @allknowing?

I suppose she will have an explanation to justify what she has done. But I find it sickening.

I read this online yesterday and I think that there are much better ways to teach anatomy. I disagree with the method of teaching in this instance.

Ofcourse there are better ways but I wonder why that was allowed at all in the first place.

@Fleura Had my son been a student in that classroom I would have taken it to the board of education, I find it terrible, anatomy shouldn't be confused with show and tell.

@Juliaacv OK now you've got me confused! I thought 'show and tell' was just a way of introducing small children to the idea of talking about an object, getting used to standing up in front of the class, describing something in an interesting way, and answering questions. Which is also what teaching is, isn't it?

I have read the news a couple of days ago in an Italian online newspaper. I think it was a good way to get attention.

I thought the students would have been rather distracted.

@allknowing I do not believe that the students were distracted, Holland is a very open minded country and she was fully dressed after all.

I doubt any teacher could get away with that here.

I bet that was a memorable lesson! That's certainly a way to get the subject to stick in the pupils' minds!
