vandana7 all the way from India gave me a suggestion for our walking posts. http://www.mylot.com/vandana7 Why not make them part of a section here and call it "MyLot Walking Magic Club". We could report how long we walk here and it might keep us motivated for doing more walking. We all know that sitting at the computer for too long is not good for our health. So by adding walking here and there during the day we make ourselves healthier. It's good for the body and the mind also. It's a win win situation, don't you think?

I walked a lot today, we had some external chores that needed to be done. I have walked at least for two hours.

@marlina Today it will be another walking day. I am accompanying my husband to the hospital for a treatment. I hate to wait in the waiting room, so I will go outside and walk. Today I will wear better shoes, yesterday I head high heal and I was exhausted at the end of the day.

That is why I want to get back to walking. The rest of the time I am usually sedentary.

Walking helps me to not to think so much about foods. It also clears my brain and keeps my hips slimmer.

I need to walk more. I was doing 2 to 3 miles a day. Now I usually only walk my son to school in the mornings. I need to start moving more.

I think that is a great idea. I'll log my walking later this morning while I vacuum and mop, after that I'll log some more steps when I go out to the apple orchard. Yesterday I started using my exercise bands again, I don't want to put extra weight on now that I'm in the house more.

@marlina I'm too old for skipping, running, etc. Cleaning house is enough exercise for me.

What is this "walking" you speak of? lol Actually one of the ONLY benefits of my job is that I'm on my feet for eight hours and moving around. Otherwise I would have my own special on TLC about the 2,000 pound man lol

If you walk for 8 hours a day at your work, you sure do not need "motivation" for walking except to get your paycheck.

@marlina My motivation is not to be homeless. It's the only reason I show up everyday lol

Right now I do not walk long distances or for very long time. Maybe a half hour. I have walked two days in a row now. I will have to remember the tag.

That sounds like fun and I wish I could participate. I just can't do a lot of walking lately.

I don't know if walking from the kitchen to the dining area or from the living room to the bedroom would count, 'cause that seems to be what I've been doing a lot lately.

Your walking would only count if you have a huge, huge house and it takes a long time to get from point A to point B.

It's a good idea! Me? I walked the whole afternoon, almost. Had a lot to attend to before the kids left for the Youth Congress. After they left, here I am again with my cp & at myLot! Yehey!
