This is rather weird and scary.

Nail polish has been found in studies to cause hormone imbalances and some other health issues. (I have added the article below for you to read.) I am also wondering how much of the toxins and so forth in our bodies can be flushed out by doing cleanses. So should we look more toward doing detoxing of the body regularly because these things are getting into our bodies through things like nail polish?

I use to wear nail polish when I was younger, but at my age, I don't weat it anymore. I never knew that fingernail polish does to our bodies like that. There are so many things out there that aren't all that good for us, that it is so hard to know what to use and what not to use. This discussion will sure make me think twice before I use anyting that will harm my body/

I used to too. My daughter wears it a lot and I will have to tell about this.
No @Hatley you don't need anything else.

They changed the formulas in the seventies, supposedly to make them healthier. I would not hesitate to wear polish occasionally, but it actually bothers me to have it on all the time.

I don't wear nail polish at all. I can't because if they get sick they have to check the color in my nails to make sure they don't turn blue etc. I was blue as a baby and still can get that way if i get really sick.

That was probably it. They need to come up with some thing to guard the edges of our nails so it would last longer.

@simone10 ... I don't either. Don't always feel like doing and so it doesn't always look nice. That is my reasoning on quiting .

@celticeagle I think so too. I just got tired of having to always redo my nails so I don't even mother anymore.

It is important to be aware of what ingredients are in things we use and this is a great wake up call for those who do use a lot of cosmetics and such.
