I got the Job
I’ve just heard that the job I went for about 10 or so days ago at the post office I've got it.
Wow I’m so shocked that I have, amazing, so pleased. It’s only until Christmas but it’s work for now which is great.
I might have a glass of wine tonight to celebrate.
Today is becoming a good day for sure.

@kevin1877uk Places are always hiring. Retail might be hard right about now, but other types of work won't be. Tax offices might start hiring soon... at least here they do.

@kevin1877uk Our taxes are due by April, but people start filing as early as January as soon as they receive their papers. So the tax places start hiring for help. I guess yours won't be hiring quite as soon.. but you never know.

Thank you so much yes I will be looking for other work too, although I guess the wrong time of year to be looking and wanting work after Christmas.

Thank you, it's nothing special, but it work, manual date entry when the machine can't sent the item of post to the right place.

Congratulations. Any job is good, no matter how long it is for. It helps as you will have extra money coming in at least for a short time, but it will help you in the end. In this economy. anything is sure better than nothing. That is why I am here on mylot, as it might only be $10 a month, but that is an extra $10 I wouldn't have otherwise.

Congradulations on getting the Post office job. And, don't think of it as just temp work. Put all of your effort into it as if you know its a full time forever job, and it might BECOME a forever job.
I don't work at a post office, but the corporation I work for often keeps several of its seasonal hires if they do good.

Congratulations Kev on the new job. Give it your all because you never know who is watching you. Sometimes temporary positions have turned into full time ones when you have been the right person in the right place. :D Christmas is beginning to look merrier lol...
