Of course I can understand mom and dad being overprotective. I did have that four days where I was missing that I cannot explain. I do not know this Halloween they talk about, and do not know why any fall evening should be dangerous for a beautiful black cat, and I am becoming bored. My outdoor time is being seriously restricted. There are only so many naps I can take at the foot of the bed, though when mom goes back to bed some mornings it is really a good place. So is the computer desk under the glow of the lamp. I have been graciously allowed some outdoor time the last day or so. I love to claw on the porch and take care of my lovely nails. It is my duty to keep the strays away from MY yard and I intend to do so. I also alert to dogs. I found a way into the shed, where they have stored more of my stuff while arranging the house. So far, no mice or moles. It is interesting under one tree in the back, however. The squirrels scold me loudly. I know that winter is coming, and I will personally restrict my outdoor time myself. Mom and dad have been more generous with treats since I lost all that weight on my adventure. I have finally gotten them trained and although I have gotten my gorgeous figure back I can still talk them into giving me a bite of this or that, or cat treats if nothing else is available. It is humorous to beg for their food, then turn my nose up when they share. Life is not too exciting here, and I think that is good.
