Sugar scrub for soft lips

Have you ever bought a sugar scrub? It helps soften your lips in this cold soon-to-be winter weather.
There's no need to spend your money on something that may also contain ingredients you're sensitive to. I make my own sugar scrub and it works wonderfully.
Just pour some brown sugar in a small container with lid. Pour in a little olive oil, mixing well until you have a soft paste. Using a baby toothbrush (or a really soft one), brush your lips with the mixture.
There's nothing there to harm you and it even tastes good! You'll have lovely, soft lips in no time.

I have never heard of sugar scrub. I use chap stick. I will have to try your little mixture, because I had how my lips get during winter months.

@1creekgirl I will have to make some and try it. I have never heard of it, so did not realize it was sold in stores. It would be nice to have soft lips.

@slund2041 Yes, you can buy it in stores, but when you make your own, you know exactly what ingredients are in it.

Chap stick is handy when you're on the go, but this works well at home and really does soften your lips.

I guess your winters aren't quite as cold as NC, but anytime is right for soft lips!

I found out one summer that you must keep your sugar scrub tightly covered. The ants love it!
