Yep. Still a loyal myLotter here.
In case you didn't notice, I haven't been able to post anything or respond to your discussions since Friday.
I was away for a short vacation with the family. We went to Langkawi, an island off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia. I think the last time I was there was in 2008 so it was nice to see a lot of new things, like the SkyCab - the 1.7-kilometer cable car ride that took us 700 meters above sea level when we reached the top station. Not for the faint-hearted! 
I wish I could share more pictures but here's one taken from the SkyCab Middle Station.

Haha yeah that wouldn't be good. 
I think I was too busy taking in the view that I forgot how high we actually were.

Yeah I understand, because my mom is not comfortable with heights either. The view was amazing though.

There is one at Singapore which we used while going to the Sentosa Island. There have been other occasions too - several of them. The ride to Jungfrau in Switzerland, The cable car ride at Cairn rain forest, At Srinagar, Kashmir................. My first experience was in Kashmir. When the cable car arrives we have to be fast to get in and that was the only thing I got nervous about.

Is it the Gulmarg Gondola in Kashmir? I've never been on the one in Sentosa Island and Jungfrau though. The last one I took was in Genting Highlands in Malaysia. I like this one more though.

@allknowing No but I know it's one of the famous ones. I'd really love to go there someday, and the one in Jungfrau too!

Yeah I guess it's not for everyone, especially for people who have a fear of heights. They even had gondolas with transparent floors so you could see the view directly below from inside. I didn't have the guts to go inside that one!

i would rather try a cable ride than a zipline. somehow i have a feeling i'll be safer in that enclosed cab.

@cahaya1983 parasailing is the one i want to try first. that's the "extreme activity" i think i will feel safest doing.

Both are great! I haven't done ziplining for a while now, but I enjoyed the cable car ride a lot. I wish I could do parasailing too but we didn't have enough time.

@hereandthere Yeah it looks exciting! Actually I heard that parasailing used to be illegal in Langkawi and I have no idea why. Seems like things have changed.

Thank you, glad you liked the picture! Yes it's not for everyone. There's another popular cable car ride here that is suspended at over 11,000 ft above ground. I've been on that one too.

Yeah it would be difficult if you're not comfortable with heights. But the view is worth it! The queue was extremely long but I'm glad we decided to wait anyway.
If you ever come to visit make sure you don't miss it!

We live near a ski hill. I'm not a skier, but I have ridden up the mountain once or twice. I was spooked, but the view was worth it.

Am trying to catch up with you too, my friend! Re, an experience in a cable car. None yet. And maybe there'll be none. The 1st time I rode a ferris wheel & it got stuck on the highest level, I almost fainted seeing ants-like people underneath. I promised myself I will never challenge the heights anymore. Or I will die!

Thanks! I really did enjoy the experience. Definitely not for everyone though. My husband had to think like 1000 times before going for it.

It is! The Philippines has a lot of nice places too. I'd love to visit Boracay and Palawan someday.

Aw, that's too bad. I'm sure you would enjoy the ride. My husband isn't too fond of high places either but he eventually decided to just go for it. I did have a wonderful time, thank you!

My husband doesn't like them either. He challenged himself to go for it though, and made it to the top station and back.
