Why Are You Not In Uniform ?

Last Wednesday was wash day , meaning we are not in uniforms at the office . The HR officer knocked at our open door where the mall manager and I , were . When the mall manager looked at her he asked “ why are you not in uniform ?” To which both me and the HR officer said , it’s “ wash day !” The boss was bewildered and said “ but why is it that it seems you were so obviously not in uniform while D wasn’t. The HR officer said that it’s because she was in a floral jeggings (leggings like jeans ) and blue shirt , while I was in a blue black denim and blouse . And we all laughed ! Could it be that he considered the floral jeggings , not fit for office wear ?

I would conside them a very strange choice. But she's the HR officer so if anyone knows the rules, she should.

@hereandthere Precisely . That's why the mall manager was surprised she's wearing that jeggings which is for mallings or casual wear .

i think if you are a supervisor, manager, executive, you wear smart casual on wash day or casual work days.

Well, I would consider a floral legging like an unusual choice to wear in the office.

That is true . One look at it , you can tell that it's so casual . Besides leggings is tight and revealing so it's a no-no in an office . And to think that she's the HR officer .

@SIMPLYD You are so right about the fact that leggings are too tight. Many women should avoid them.

Actually , what the HR officer wore was a tight fitting jeans and leggings at the same time and a short blouse . This kind of wear is for casual wear , not for the office and she knows that.

@thesids Me , I wear that one at home or when i go malling or outing , but with a loose and long shirt to cover the butt , because this kind is too revealing ! Really , she's always prim and proper ? That's nice .

I think leggings should really go. They should not sell it in sizes large and above. It really looks disgusting on some well endowed people. Yeah I guess as office wear, no, no. I was in HR for 10 years. LOL

I think floral leggings is not fit for office. As for me "wash day" does not mean employees can wear just about anything. She should have chosen a more appropriate apparel.

Actually she talked about the uniforms and what's appropriate on wash days before the uniforms were released . She mentioned tight clothings and she fully know that her attire was that .

Oh some offices consider that too. On my previous work, you are supposed to wear business attire still. If wear8ng sleeveless shirt or blouse, you should have blazer or coat, denims are allowed but not the too tight and new trends..... conclusion, they gave us 5 days uniform instead of 4. No more wash day.
