The mysterious case of the missing Paypal address

My Paypal email address was added to my account shortly after I joined Mylot, which is a little over 9 years ago. When I returned just over a month ago, I went into the settings just to confirm that the address was still there. The allocated space was empty, so I simply entered it again. This did not surprise me because the site has changed quite a bit since I was last active here. However, despite having reached the required amount, I did not get paid yesterday like other members did. Lat last night I returned to the settings for curiosity and discovered that the Paypal email address was not there. Once I entered the Paypal account the green $Mylot$ sign appeared, so I went to bed. This morning that green $Mylot$ had disappeared and my Paypal email is no longer listed. This explains why I was not paid this month, but what happened to the address that I entered recently? It looks as though I am going to have to check the settings daily during the early days of each month, otherwise I may never receive payment.

How bizarre Barry. Well I hope it stayed around long enough for you to get your payment?

Not this time Gary, but I am quite happy to wait until next month because there is no loss involved.

That's weird. Send me a private message with your Paypal email address, and I will make sure you still get paid this month, probably on Monday. Then I can also figure out why your Paypal address didn't save in your settings... Sorry about that! We'll get it figured out. Thanks @PhredWreck for the heads up

I'm having problems too - it sees my paypal e-mail as invalid though it is the right one - even phoned paypal about it but no problems at their end

@PhredWreck I did - he suggested I talk to paypal - they want to talk directly to Mylot - I'm stuck in the middle

Instead of drowning yourself into bureaucracy, try the smart way : you can add 8 different email addresses to your PayPal account. If you open a Yahoo, Gmail, Gmx, etc address, and add it to your PayPal to be paid by myLot, you have some chance that it will not be considered invalid here.

@topffer in the process of that but I need a code from my bank to confirm it and they don't open until Monday - their internet service is dreadful

You should contact support to see why it is not being saved and staying.

I was going to suggest you to send a message to @myLotBugs and @GoAskAlice I see that Phred was quicker. I messed up with my PayPal address last month and Alex was of great help to solve my problem.

I will be sending a message to Mylot bugs shortly, so the same situation should not exist next month.

It is certainly not a concern to me because anything not paid out this month will simply be carried to next month. However, it is an intriguing situation.

I had that happen in the first few days of my return here, but after entering it a couple of times, it stuck and I haven't had a problem since. I hope they can fix that for you.

The one consolation is that it will not affect my interaction here in any way. It is sure to be rectified in time, so I am happy enough to sit back and wait.

Rather than post here it is best that such issues are taken up directly with Admin which I now see it has been done.

Thanks to you I checked my email addresses and had to reenter my paypal email as well, I wonder if there's a cyber ghost playing footsies with email addresses.

So you are blaming me for having a ghost avatar on Halloween. My ghost is innocent until proven guilty.

Well that is not good. I know you are not concerned about the money but still, it needs to be corrected. I think I will go and check mine.

The issue is currently in the process of being dealt with. It came as a bigger surprise to me to discover that I was not the only one.
