Walmart visit - spent more than expected

I went to Walmart to grab a few foods for work, then grabbed a few other things. I got a pile of veggies for the animals on sale. A bag of tomatoes, beans, pineapple, and lettuce for $1 each. I got some regular price lettuce at $3.97 each (ridiculous). I needed new socks, and mouthwash which was $10 each. I can't complain because I did need the things, and I know I wont buy them or keep pushing it off. I was down to 3 sets of socks, and 2 sets of underwear washing them in the sink every other day. So now I bought a couple packs of each. I did buy some snacks in bulk which would save me money in the long run. I didn't buy that much stuff either, and it came out to $100. But the lady behind me had a cart over flowing, how can these people afford that.
