Owning Up

living room boxes

Dave and I moved into our new first-time home owned by me. The move took place the middle of August. Boxes were piled high in the kitchen, living room and basement by the movers from hell. The only boxes marked are the ones I packed. Two weeks later I started my ten-week seasonal job. The long strenuous hours didn't leave me time or energy to continue the unpacking process. Yesterday was my last day working. Time to own up and resume making the house our forever home.

It's good to see you here Irene. You must be sick of the sight of those boxes.

I certainly am. No shoemaker's elves here. Also haven't received that box on my doorstep from Swiffer yet.

Congratulations! If you remember from Bubblews, I bought my house in April. Good news, I finished unpacking about two weeks ago. The shed was the moving catch all, so when I finished that I said, yep I'm home! I love the feeling! You two are going to be so happy! We both have our first Christmas in our forever homes coming up. How awesome is that!

I do not even have the excuse of a cranberry harvest. We understand now why you have not been here.

Hope the unpacking goes well. After such a long time, it will be like Christmas, never knowing quite what you'll find. Glad you've had in influx of funds too.
