Not Too Many New Discussions Today

I wonder why the new discussions are so few today. Do people prefer to like and comment more than putting out new discussions? I always appreciate when new discussions come in, it makes for a more exciting site, don't you think so? There are so many topics we can write about be it gardening, books, politics, green living, cooking, exercise etc.

When I started here I couldn't keep up with the 'most recent' list but increasingly I'm having to go looking for things to read as there are so few coming onto the list.

That's why I said that it is important to make discussions not just liking and commenting.

@marlina It's hard to know the right level of activity we should aim for when it comes to posting - some are doing one every few days, others a few dozen a day.

I do like reading and commenting as much as writing. I think it's a good sign that people are just writing for the sake of writing.

I have noticed that a lot of people I am following are commenting but aren't posting any new discussions. I don't always post everyday because I get behind easily and I try and catch up on notifications, etc before I post a new discussion.

@marlina So do I. I don't always succeed because sometimes I get side tracked on other discussions.

In fact I prefer to make new discussion much more. But since I don't want to post a boring discussion like hello, good night etc. I can't really think out unique new discussions. And therefore I will see whether I can reply to others' discussions. I always want to reply those meaningful and interesting subjects.

I think that it is important to write new discussions. If no new ones appear, the readers will go somewhere else pretty fast.

Some days I just don't feel like writing anything so I just spend my time reading and interacting. There's always something interesting to read.

I think it's because of the incidents in France. I don't post discussions much but after something like that it is kind of hard to write about your own problems or joys or about the last movie you saw or the lovely flowers that just blossomed in your garden.

This is my first Sunday on myLot, so I don't know how it works here. But on other sites it always seems that weekends are slower than weekdays.

In a way it is good to see fewer posts. It is an earning site and people sometime post irrelevant discussions which spoils the fun. We are here to discuss and have fun, we are not here to make money

I agree, I love to read new discussions, and take part in them, but I know that I need to take my turn and start a new one too. Can you tell me if we can share recipes on this site at all?

It is hard to get into the habit of interacting more and writing less. I keep looking for new posts to read too.
