Things not to buy your wife for Christmas

Christmas shopping is something that many men put off until the last minute. Well, in order to stay good with your wife maybe you need to put some thought into what you buy her. Here are some thing that you should not buy your wife for Christmas:
* A membership to the local gym - even if she asks for that don't buy it!
* Flannel PJ's are not considered 'sexy lingerie'
* Any diet inspired items - such as DVDs or books
* A plunger
* Household cleaning products
* Clothes - unless you are absolutely sure of the size
* Cheap perfume - or cheap anything for that matter
* Gift cards - of any kind or amount
* Cash
I hope this helps and saves your Christmas!

Hamper...gosh...
My first marriage, one of my husband's friends gave us a bird bath as a wedding gift.

Was it the hammer that make her go veggie? I think I might have used that hammer in a different manner from what it was intended!

@AbbyGreenhill We never did, my Mother usually gives me cash so I can buy what I like. She is 94 and does not go out shopping anymore.

I had a wok, I wonder if I sold it at a yard sale...now that I have a gas stove it would work much better .

If, I would have asked, him for it , it would be different. I do think, he was joking when he said, it was my birthday present. My birthday is Friday.

My ex-husband bought me a vacuum cleaner for Christmas one year. He had even hinted that he was thinking about it, because it would make such a wonderful present.
I told him in no uncertain terms that I absolutely did not want that or anything like that for Christmas. He bought it for me anyway and was really surprised when I didn't like it.

@AbbyGreenhill You have a good point. If I really wanted an appliance or something like that, then I would have been happy to get it. Since I had told him that I absolutely did not want it, and he bought it for me anyway, I was both angry and hurt, especially since I had gone out of my way to get him what he wanted.
He was in the dog house for quite a while after that. It was a car vacuum, but not one of the really tiny ones. He ended up with it, because I refused to use it, especially since the entire reason he bought it for me is that it bugged him that the kids ate in the car and left crumbs on the seat. If he was really that set on buying one, then he could have just got it for the car and not made it a Christmas present.

How long was he in the dog house after that? If I really wanted an appliance I would be glad to get it, as long as I got something else more personal with it.

Good advice, my husband got me a crock pot last year and that was it. I think my daughter is going to help him next year as she gave him quite a lecture for it.
