The Kind Hearted Woman, about a Native American woman living in North Dakota. It was on PBS. She had become a alcoholic and lost her kids(boy and girl). They went to live with their bio dad who was abusive sexually to the girl. Robin was able to get her kids back for awhile but, the tribal court gave them back to their dad saying she had been sexually abusive to them. Can you believe it? So, she is going through all this and trying to get into college and become a social worker to help other woman on the reservation. That was just Part One. Last Night I watched the second part. She had a stupid lawyer and was able to get a better one who helped her to get her daughter to testify and put her ex away for not only sexually abusing their daughter but a foster girt who they had taken in while married. Robin has been able, by this time, to get a great job and she is speaking to women who have had similar issues. She divulges that she was sexually abused beginning at the age of 3 until she was about 11. Her mom was also an alcoholic and Robin had been taken away and put into foster care too. This is when she was abused by 'step dads', 'uncles', etc. Man! She does have at least one nervous break down. I think I would have had four or five. It just goes to show that Native American women are strong. I am a Cherokee so this was close to my heart. Most women are strong but this Native American woman was very strong. Have you seen a movie or docu-drama that made you feel good about women lately? Proud to be one. Etc. ??

It's been a while since I saw a docu-drama. This one does sound good. She's gone through a lot in her life. Is it based on a true story?

Depends on what kind you like. My favorites this time of year are The Bishop's Wife and Holiday Inn.

We don't have quite a number of titles in my country and a lot of them needs to be sourced online and downloaded into our devices to watch offline.

I have not seen this movie, I am not in the mood to watch sad movies right now. There is already too much sadness in real world.
