I slid a step closer to decrepitude this morning when I made myself a simple bowl of soup, the sort that comes in a tin and just needs warming up. I found that instead of a spoon, I automatically grabbed a knife and fork from the cutlery draw. I wonder if I should book my place in the nursing home right away. I wrote up some plays and sketches to send out to a local theatre who are considering material for future productions. I then read a sizable portion of an unpublished novel a good friend has asked me to read for him, as he has done for me with many of my writings. We give each other feedback on our writings. His work is very good. I do hope he gets it into print soon. Arthur Chappell

And I try to eat everything with a spoon! It's not suitable for all foods, but when it is, I prefer it.

It sounds like you had a very productive day. I would love to see you eat that soup with a fork and knife, though! LOL

You might want to book yourself a room or it could be embarrassing when on Thanksgiving you reach for a bowl instead of a plate. Ugh!

It's always good to have a knowledgeable friend to critique your writing. They can inspire you to greater things.

@JudyEv Yes, a lot of people in writing groups have virtually nothing to say and don't pay attention unless it's their own work being critiqued so a good honest critic is invaluable

@arthurchappell You really need to get the right person though don't you? Some people just have completely different ideas to your own in which case it can be discouraging.

That sounds like something that I would do when I am distracted. It's because of a habit when you are on auto pilot.
