Went to the movies...

I don't go to the movies very often. It's maybe a once a year thing, if that even. I have to REALLY want to see the movie to go pay theater prices, deal with the crowded theater and noisy people, and be uncomfortable in those theater seats for a couple hours to see a movie. I much prefer to wait until it's on video, watch it from the comfort of my own home where I am the loudest one in the room and with my own snacks which are much cheaper. I'll cave and go to the drive in sometimes. It is cheaper, you can bring your own snacks, and it's more of a fun experience than just sitting in a theater. But today I decided to go to the theater to see a movie. Mockingjay Part 2 came out today. I've read the Hunger Games series numerous times, and seen all the other movies numerous times. It's a movie my daughter and I just love! We saw Catching Fire in theaters 2 years ago, though I didn't see Mockingjay Part 1 until it was on video. Today was also my daughter's birthday, so as a treat she and I went to see Mockingjay Part 2! FYI if you're a fan of the series and looking forward to seeing the movie, it's great! If you read the books you won't be disappointed, the movie follows very closely to the book, much the same way the past 2 movies did. Granted a lot of details are left out, as usually happens when books turn into movies, and a few things changed slightly... but all in all there weren't too many changes so the book lovers will not be upset with the film.
