Now that all of our children are out of the house and producing their own children we are left with out fur baby. He is a Pekingese and adorable. He is now our baby. Ever Christmas he gets his own stocking filled with treats and toys. He also gets his own personalized ornament. I did this saying for him and stitched to year on the back. Our pets are like children, don't forget them They love Christmas as much as we do.

My pets also receive gifts just like my grown children receive. They have a play box full of toys and stuffed animals, some of them even make different noises. Some I buy online and others at a store I go to in South Dakota, so hoping I can make it to SD sometime before Christmas.

@rebelann Mine no longer receive table food but whenever I see toys they would like that is what I bring home.

@rebelann Oh good and bet they love it also. Mine need to lose some weight and I have been advised not to feed them table food.

When I make eggs or chicken for them I never include spices or veggies @Marcyaz simply cooked meat or eggs for either of them. Then, when I want to eat my portion I add what I like to mine.

All my kids have flown the nest. I would like a little dog but hubby is not so keen. It is nice to have something to spoil.

My mother used to buy gifts for the dogs we had through the years. Not anymore. And besides, he gets treated very well. The few toys she bought the dog she has now, he hardly ever played with. He does get treats.

Oh that's a shame she doesn't give the dog a toy at Christmas time.

I always purchase my cat (sixteen years old) a cat toy each Christmas and wrap it and place under the tree.

We always get them treats and toys for Christmas. This will be Daisy's first Christmas and I'm excited to see how she reacts.

You will find lots of dog-lovers/owners on here. Most seem to get included in the festivities that are going on.

Awww I do get the cats something small each year, but so far they haven't really noticed. Our one cat pulled the christmas tree down when she was 4 months old which I think is pretty impressive x
