Mistakes

I sell lottery tickets from the Red Cross and I walk around from door to door. I meet many people that way. Sometimes I visit the same house twice by mistake. In some cases it is hard to see where one house end and the next one starts.
Sometimes I knock on people's front doors and 5 minutes later I knock on their back doors. One man got angry. I apologized and he screamed: ”I already said that I didn't want to buy anything” Another man realized that it was a mistake and he couldn't stop laughing when I knocked on his back door.
If a child opens the door I ask to speak to his/her parents. One time a girl opened the door. She looked very young and said: ”Hi, I am from the Red Cross, can I speak to your mom or your dad?” The girl said ”I am the mother in this family” She looked very insulted, and it was an awkward situation

I work part time on the turnstiles at the races, and senior citizens get a concession. The times I've asked people if they qualify, only to be huffily told they don't.
On the other hand I get some very satisfied people who are delighted that I've needed to ask them, as they were well over the qualifying age

That kind of situations can be tricky. Sometimes it is hard to guess how old people are, and they might get insulted or flattered if you are wrong. My friend had the same problem when he was working as a bus driver.

We used to know a family where the Dad sounded like a lady. I don't know how many times my hubby called their number and asked for Mr. and Mr. said You got him! What do you want??

no i not make this kind of mistake but once while i am in school and at back to home one other student going from there and i felt that its my friend so from behind i hit slowly to his head,while he turn around then i show ops he is not he and the i say sorry its by mistake but he is angry and start bad word speak but i manage by saying lots of time sorry sorry.
