Brussels in my thoughts

The Palace in Brussels - we have been there

October 26, 2014 With the terrorist unrest escalating to First World Countries, having total shut downs - like in Brussels, i refer back to a writing i made last year on the BUBS site. In the greater scheme of things it is most likely that all Great Nations, all Good people, all Willing governments will put their differences aside and stand together for the greater good of mankind. The movie RED 2 based on a comic book of the same name is full of Save the World hero's and maybe a little of that saving the world could rub off on all of us. My confession is that i love to watch Bruce Willis in any movie which started many years ago with the TV series Moonlighting. Alongside Sybil Shepard and when Bruce still had hair . . . however Bruce has aged wonderfully and no man wears baldness like he does! The RED movies are great, as they say in Afrikaans "Skop, skiet en donder vermaak" which translates to 'Kick, shoot and crush entertainment' with some 007 action and a whole lot of dry humour! But let me come to the point - at the end of the day, which seems to be the new Jackie Chang on the block in the excellent shape of byung-hun-lee , we cross borders, meet with the enemies and save the world! When it comes to the crux - there is always a good bunch of avengers from many countries that will look out for the safely of human kind. To the men in UNIFORM - we say thank you. And lets hope that all the Terrorists are called to order and held accountable for the terror across the world. you may give your input

It is despicable the indiscriminate way they are bombing and blowing innocent people up. Hopefully there will be enough chocolate left for the next time you visit?

Ahhh I never gave the chocolate a thought, but now that you mention it, I do hope they leave the beautiful stations and chocolates

A small observation. The term 'First world' is about 25 years out of date now. It refers back to the structure of the world in Cold War days and should be pretty much obsolete - along with 2nd and 3rd World.

I am supposed to be living in a third world country, where bombings and terrorism is talked about daily, its just so uncommon to believe that our European Cities are suffering this plague - We use that term often

I remember the old series Moonlighting, I never liked this series. I would love to believe that we will see peace in the world, but the world has never been in peace since it was created.
