Kids setting up many toll booths at home

One of the "toll booths" in my house

My children were drawing and talking about trains and train tracks this morning. Then they used a cardboard box to act as a train, and they travel around in the living room. Now, they have set up a few toll booths in the house, we need to use a card to scan at the "toll booth" in order for us to pass the way. From my home office (where I am using computer) to the kitchen, I require to pass through two toll booths. Of course, I have always been forgetting to bring my card and pay the toll, and my son keeps reminding me. I have also been hearing lots of the card scanning sound "dee..." How come it becomes so troublesome to walk in my house today? Do your children always set up different scenes or "complications" at home? Image: This is the "toll booth" outside my home office, coins are acceptable too.

Aww this is so cute! When I was younger, I would play cashier, groceries and all these random stuff also! One of my favorite is when my parents come home from the grocery store and put all the groceries infront of the fridge - I would take a calculator and just pretend they were buying it

That was cute! My children do the same as well. They take out the stuffs we bought, pack them again and label with the price, and whenever we want to use it, we need to buy from them.

Yes, it's always nice to see them playing. Sometimes they "act" as a mirror to me, when I see how they do or speak, I know how I am.

@kaka135 That's why parents should be models of good acts and words because children imitates us .

I remember we did this with my younger brother when we were kids. We transformed the room in a train station and wanted to be paid when people entered the room.

That is quite funny! No, I don't remember my daughter ever playing at anything similar, happymum. I do remember playing cards and board games with her when she was five or around that up until she was twelve or thirteen.

My house or any part of the house is always transformed into something else, by the children. The adults have to participate as well. I haven't play much card and board games with my children yet, but I think kids will always like to play them as well. I always thought of making the board game myself, but I am always lazy to do so....

I love it. My children were creative when they were little too, I loved being a mother. Unfortunately they grow up and leave home....never mind, I do like the quiet now in my old age.

Yes, I love being a mother too. I know I have to learn to let go too, I am sure there will be a day when the children grow up and leave home. Glad that I have more hobbies now, and I don't think I will be bored.

That is so cute.. I love it when children are engaged in imaginary games. My son used to pretend he was ice skating in a hot tropical country.. he would wear scarves and sweaters and play LOL

Thanks. Yes, I like when the children create their own games, so I just try to participate even though it can be quite troublesome for me sometimes. Who will carry the card or some coins around in the house all the time? I am imagining your son ice skating in my country, where it's a tropical country. He's so cute!! My son also imagined he was feeling very cold in winter in another country too.
