Have you known anyone close that has had an online gambling addiction or a real brick and motor casino addiction?
If so do you mind sharing a quick story you have had regarding the matter.Or what your stance is on the topic of gambling in casinos or online.
I personally got hooked pretty hardcore on a mix of online and offline and am trying to see what others have gone though to help myself not go back ever again.

Hi :) I heard a story of a woman who was very rich and went to bingo everyday. She lost all her fortune and had to start to work. Anyway sadly I heard that she still plays in bingo with the money she earns in her job. It is really sad that she lost everything she had and still plays :( she should get some help.

@cacay1 so sad that someone is wasting their life that could be spent with friends and family having fun because she is old already and she rather spend it on silly games
she is obsessed with it thats the only explanation i find for it.

My parents like to go to casinos. I would not say they are addicted but they go to casinos for a few days each month. They have been to Las Vegas, Cherokee NC, Biloxi Mississippi. They claim they get free hotel rooms and perks. As I say, I don't think they are addicted but it sort of concerns me. They have never done online gambling.

I don't have an addiction since I don't go every day. But I do love going to the casino and gambling and playing slots. We go once or twice a year i think that's good enough. To stop addiction? I'm not sure. You can try to find something else a new hobby to do and block all casino games online so your not tempted to play them. Good luck

Gambling whether online or real life is very addictive and when we engage in it whether win or loose we will NEVER be able to stop and walkaway.
In economics, we learn that we are all selfish but when it comes to gambling it is greed. When we win, we will keep on going unwilling to walk away with the gains. Then, when we loose that gnawing feeling of trying to gain back the lost but in reality MANY have (notice the tense) sink deeper. If you disagree then please tell me why are both the casinos and gambling sites growing bigger and bigger, including loansharks.
In gambling there's no such thing as strategy so don't kid yourself because you may do all the calculations or apply the known strategies there's still that needed element called luck which is as uncertain and unreliable as the weather report. When it does not come to visit you or not - when you loose control please be prepared to loose not only your monies in your bank but yourself.

Used to work in the online gambling industry and I've seen and heard my fair share of gambling addiction stories. Not every story ends so well.

I am not familiar with gambling addiction but I am familiar with other addictions and an addiction is something out of your control. God set me free from many addictions. If He'll do it for me He'll do it for anyone. Turn your life all over to Him and you'll begin the greatest journey you've ever had, be ready for some challenges as He loves you like you are but too much to leave you there.

My husband was very into the casinos. Never 'addicted'. That would be hard to take.

I had a friend whos dad ended up selling their house due to the mass amount of debt he created gambling online, I think they ended up leaving the state as well to a lower class neighborhood

I know of one person who was playing video poker way too much. She did cut down and found the best way to keep herself from online gambling was to start playing the state lottery. It was a much less expensive habit and still some thrills with an occasional win.
