When I receive a windfall, I share my wealth. That is the case with all the wonderful cranberries I've amassed the last several weeks of the annual cranberry harvest. Did you know these little powerhouses of antioxidants can be frozen raw?
A dear friend that helped us out was the recipient of this nice recycled lasagna box full of a dozen of my special cranberry muffins. These are the large ones like you get at a bakery for an outrageous price.
The recipe is on the ocean spray dot com website. I add cinnamon and vanilla to a double recipe of these beauties. Dave adores having one for breakfast

You won't be disappointed. Sugar coat a few whole berries to decorate the top.

cranberry orange is also another nice flavor profile for muffins.sweet and tart . Funny you mentioned the size and how the price is outrageous because I wasn't sure if I was the only person who thought that. Sometimes I watch people grab bakery goods and throw them in their basket and they don't seem to be bothered by the price and I wondered if I was being cheap or if they weren't price conscious or maybe it's a reasonable price for the item. How ever I can't imagine posting $2+ for a muffin and there's for of us. When I could make that many for less.
