In Your Dreams

There is a saying in the UK 'In Your Dreams' which loosely translated means I don't think so. But I want to take a different tack to this. I want to know what you can do in your dreams. Jessa @Jessicalynnt said on a comment on my post Do You Like People Noticing You' 'I used to dream I could dance, so pretty' That set me off thinking what I can do in my dreams. I told Jessa that in my dreams I am awesome and reeled off a few things that I do in my dreams. Here are a few things that I can do in my dreams I think one of the most spectacular is fly. My flying is all the more spectacular because I can also fly in space like Superman. In my dreams I have the voice of an angel and I can paint and draw like a Michelangelo. In my dreams I am about 27years old fit and can do pretty much anything that I set my hand to doing. What can you do in your dream life and what do you have the most fun doing? Just for the sake of this post we will take the wonderful sex life as given or they will delete me lol... The photo is one taken by my son of a base jumper, as I don't have one of me flying that I can use lol..

The mind's eye is a wondrous thing. Is the Internet helping or stifling it? Base jumping, not for me, thank you, I prefer to keep my feet on the ground.

@pgntwo I think that depends a little on the individual, if you already have an active imagination then I think that the internet will feed it and so will help it. But today I think there are a lot of people who are becoming increasingly passive and so like to be entertained by the imaginations of others. The virtual realities that are created these days are amazing, but they don't come close to having your own in an active dream life where you are the star lol...

@maggs224 Those tempted to act out their dreams can either become a stellar success or wither deplorably. Having the chutzpah to spot the likely successes and make them happen is what's important.

I always dream I can drive and ride a bicycle. I know these are simple things that almost everyone can do, but I don't know how to do in real life. I have not dream of flying, perhaps I think I need to learn to ride and drive first. I didn't know "In Your Dreams" means "I don't think so". Thanks for telling this. I learn something new today!

but'cha do've the voice 'f'n angel, my friend! 'least to these ears anyhow :) hmm, interestin' query, one i fear i cannot answer proper. these days my dream is to get 'n stay well. which's still provin' to be a most dauntin' task. big hugs 'n love!

@crazyhorseladycx But when you are actually dreaming, do you have all the same physical problems or are you how you used to be? I know when I dream I am certainly not white haired and using a stick lol... I am about 27 and fit as a fiddle lol...

I've dreamt of flying before too, but usually when I'm being chased by someone. Mostly I'll be stationary above the person trying to chase me. I have some interesting dreams before, but I don't remember many more than that.

or it could be a statement to say "wishful thinking" at some point we all wish to have things we don't currently have... money, fame, looks, figure etc etc.. but by the end of the day we are thankful for whatever blessings we have :)

In my dreams I can be two people, and sometimes I can be myself and someone who helps me. I can be strong, I can be smart and solve mysteries. I can be male and female at the same time. I am quite amazing, really.

I feel like I stumble on my words when I converse, especially in a group of people. I know that I'm my own worse enemy, so I am probably not as bad as I feel I am. In my dreams I do speak easily and I feel younger, like in my 30's. I don't know why that age, I enjoyed my 40's much much more. But in my most favorite dreams, I do not talk much at all, people are talking to me.

@amnabas The feeling of invincibility is one of the great things about dreams. I feel no fear when swooping and soaring in the sky I just feel so exhilarated.

@Jessicalynnt I don't have too many flying dreams these days Jessa but I used to fly all the time in my dreams when I was a child. Still, even though they are fewer I still enjoy them when I have them.

@boiboing Now you have opened a door to the kind of dream I will try to cultivate, the stuff your face dream. Just thinking of that has me almost drooling. Eating what I like as much as I like all calorie and cost free, that could be a powerful aid to dieting lol... I am planning my menu for tonight when I go to bed lol...
