Are you into those?

So did you shop on Black Friday or Cyber Monday? Or neither? Did you find your gifts away from the maddening crowds on Black Friday or Cyber Monday? Or, are you into the electronics and big sales? Is it important enough to you to brave the crowds for what you feel is a good deal? Here, where I live, a lot of people took to the outdoors instead of going shopping on those days. And, the news is saying that Black Friday did worse this year than last year. Well, only by 1 billion $. Are we bummed? I guess it depended on what you are shopping for and if you are able to stand crowds, idiots and self involved jerks. I don't do crowds. What do you think about these two shopping days?

I would avoid shopping on those days at all costs. It is far more sensible to pay the realistic price for an item than to risk getting involved with such crowds on the off chance that you may grab a bargain.

@celticeagle People arrive on such days and still fail to buy anything, but they will try again next year.

I think that, as more sellers jump on the bandwagon, people are getting wise to the fact that the 'deals' and 'bargains' are often nothing of the kind. I believe that a shop has only to offer an item at a certain price for 28 days to then legally mark it down to the price it should have been in the first place. I do object to the increasing use of the term 'Black Friday' in the UK. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here and there is no real need to stimulate sales in such a way in the run up to Christmas.

This is all true I think. I also think that a lot of the so called 'sales' are merely ways of getting potential buyers into the store.

I stay from the madding crowds by shopping online. I have had to buy a lot for this party I am organizing and I have been doing that since August. I got a few items from China too which took 45 days to reach here.

I don't like crowds, especially not in shops I feel an urge to yell at them to watch where they're walking and not to stop suddenly in front of me, but my husband did manage a black Friday bargain by accident. The fuel in our local supermarket was reduced so he topped up his car, although he was already trapped by the time he realised he would have to queue . I did take advantage of cyber Monday though, but just to buy gifts I wanted anyway, I love shopping online.

I refuse to do Black Friday. I had already gotten a lot of my shopping done at Amazon last week. I do that because I earn a lot of Amazon gift cards on Swag Bucks and it comes directly to my door with no shipping charges if I buy enough at one time. I may order some more things today.

I do not like shopping at the best of times. I would rather poke my eyes with a sharp stick than shop on either of those days!

I hate shopping and do not like holidays. You can guess then that I did not go near a store on either of those two days. My kids are adults and we don't do many gifts so I rarely shop unless my underwear is so torn I have to throw it out of there is not a single piece of food in the house.

I dd not do any at all. I will never do the black Friday thing for sure! Too many crazies out there! For what? And o Cyber Monday either I don't trust buying things on line. I just buy things for family and friends through out the year and save the presents for the next Christmas.

Yes, I shopped Black Friday + Cyber Monday but I don't do lines or camp out. I just go in during regular times refreshed with plenty of sleep after being stuffed during Thanksgiving! I do prefer Cyber Monday though because you can shop in the ease of your house!

I "shopped" on Cyber Monday. I was able to get my bunny his food and hay for half price so that was a nice thing.
