The Inspector Was Here

He called last night to say he would be here this morning at 8:30 to inspect the furnace so the company could be paid. He was ten minutes early and I was ready for him, almost. I crawled out of bed at 7:15 and needed to get the kitchen finished - dishes done and the table and counters cleaned off and generally looking decent. I had the dishes done and the garbage was taken out. I now have the table and counters looking decent. His inspection showed the people who put in the furnace will be making a return visit to get the job done right. There's a minor gas leak - he said it's been there for 20 years and is not a danger to me, but it still needs to be fixed and a couple other things and I'm going to get a different thermostat - the programmable one. So I can expect them back perhaps in the next week. He said he wasn't certain when they would be back as there is a lot of work right now with the weather about to turn cold. How did your day start?
