Who has the milk, I have the cookies......

It took me almost a week but I finally got around to making chocolate chip cookies. I didn't realize that I bought the chips that are about triple the size of 'normal' chocolate chips! These are my husband's favorite cookies and so far he held back...he only ate 3 but I bet he will be sneaking a few more later. Years ago I used to make these cookies and it was not a fun undertaking. Back then I didn't have a fancy stand mixer. Since I got my Kitchen Aid from "Santa" a few years ago making cookies is a pleasure! I wouldn't want to live without it. I am not a good cookie baker, so this is the it for me for Christmas. What about you - do you make cookies and what kind do you make? Photo belongs to me

I am good with baking at all (i am just good in eating them)I have made chocolate cookies once which was not very successful because it was almost burnt :( I love the moist ones. I think the only thing i am able to do right are macaroons and that simplest banana cake. lol :D

I find baking a cake much easier - but that's because I've made a zillion of them. Cookies - not so much!

I haven't made cookies in a long time. I think it's time to get some chocolate chips and change that.

@AbbyGreenhill I'll try to make that happen the next time I go grocery shopping. I could use some good home made chocolate chip cookies.

They sound good if you hold off on the milk. My fave to bake are ginger biscuits.

I do not have the Kitchen Aid mixer. I have seen several promotions in our shops, now I am considering to ask it for Christmas. This can be a great help.

Ask for one, you will use it and love it. My husband used it to make pizza dough - fast!!!

I make fudge sometimes, pecan cookies, other desserts, but the one all my kids and grandkids look forward to are my Chocolate Mint Squares. They're time-consuming to make so I only make them at Christmas as a special treat. Oh, and the gluten-free peanut butter cookies I make for our son-in-law.

I bought gluten free pasta by accident - fixed it the other day - it was horrible...it's in the trash.

@AbbyGreenhill. I think some of the gluten-free products have come a long way, but still not always the tastiest. The whole grain bread by Udi is actually pretty good.

I wish I could bake cookies - a few years ago I tried 3 different sugar cookie recipes and they all wound up in the trash.

@andriaperry I wish you could share it, but according to the guideline you can't share recipes. You can send it to me in a message.

The other night I made some peanut butter cookies and they were good! Soon I want to make short bread cookies with a Hershey kiss in the middle...Mmm. Those are my husbands favorite but they are expensive!

It has been a tradition (especially when the kids were small) to make Toll House Chocolate Chip cookies during the Christmas Season.

I would imagine that they are probably the top cookie if a poll was taken.

How many cookies do you think I can "steal" from your husband? By the way I have the milk, but I prefer eating cookies with hot tea.

The past few years my daughters and I all made different kinds of cookies for Christmas so we had a nice assortment. We were just talking about it on Thanksgiving and trying to decide who is making which this year. So far we haven't decided but I know for sure someone will be making chocolate chips

We had a neighbor a few years ago who is the best cookie maker I've known. A year ago she mailed us a care package, I was in heaven. Good luck with yours.
