I am finished!

That's right, thank goodness, I'm finished! My husband brought up the two smaller trees from the basement. They had a rough ride in the golf cart and it took me a while to rearrange things to make them look presentable again! I also added some new ornaments so they didn't feel left out. I had more decorative items to add to the kitchen and living room and now the empty totes have been sent to the garage to sit quietly until next year. I can't wait until after 6:00 pm when it starts to get dark to see how the little trees look in all their glory. Cards went in the mail this morning. I do need to buy two 'special' cards but that's it for now. I still have enough Christmas decorations in the basement to decorate at least two more homes! But, for now, I'm finished.

It looks really good. You people from the US really like to celebrate Christmas. Just like @slund2041, I am not decorating or anything because of Christmas, but it's mostly because I don't really celebrate it. I like the friendly/loving atmosphere that Christmas brings, though.

I do not think I will decorate this season. I have so much going on and not a lot of free time.

I almost didn't for a few reasons but I would miss it too much.

Looks very homey and Christmasy. The paneling reminds me of my childhood home. My father put knotty pine paneling throughout one part of the house and I have always loved real wood.

The interior of this house (80 percent of it) is done like a log cabin. That's not paneling, it's boards put up one at a time. It is easy to put a nail in no messing up Sheetrock!

@sueznewz2 I don't know why the previous owners did it like a log cabin inside, but it's brick outside.

I used to have some old decorations that my grandmother gave me. I loved them so. I lost them along with a lot of other stuff when I left my third husband. Better them than me. Haha

Won't be doing much this year. I am not in the "Christmas mood" at all.

I am stuck on trees from the basement getting a golf cart ride. Is the basement that far away? lol

I know that feels good. I have my tree out, but still in the box. I'm trying to decide where to put it. Wherever I put it I'll be doing a lot of rearranging to make it happen.
