Since the birth of Al Queda and the bombing of the World Trade Center buildings, peace and order in the richest nation of the world have deteriorated so badly. And now this new evil group called ISIS is making every American and all peace-loving citizens of all western nations living in fear.
It is TIME for America to elect the toughest and smartest candidate to lead and to forget about the so-called political correctness. And I believe Donald Trump is the ONE that can make America Great Again! Whew, I am getting ready for some tongue-lashing here!

Donald Trump is not the self-made man everyone thinks he is. He got where he is because of the money his daddy left him, and more money his siblings loaned him after he lost what daddy left him. What Donald is good at is self-promotion. What else he is good at is insulting and debasing almost every group other than white guys with bad hair that live in this country. He has no idea of how to conduct foreign policy, deal with our enemies or our allies, how to properly deploy our military, or deal with domestic issues of race, poverty, or immigration. Sure he blusters and says things the xenophobic haters love to hear, but nothing of substance slips past his lips.
Donald Trump is a legend in his own mind and I fear would be a disaster for America and the world.

He loves to utter the word - disaster! And you believe he is actually a disaster for America. But I see none of his republican rivals as tough as he is . . . according to him they are all weak and a couple - - low energy!

@antonbunot My disappointment in the slate of candidates for President in this next election knows no bounds. There is not a one of them I can, in good faith, throw my support behind.

@DWDavis I am a Canadian. But, you know what, I am so fascinated with American politics especially this current campaign. I don't see anyone among the candidates the intelligence and toughness that Americans need for a leader. Hillary is intelligent or smart. The Donald talks tough and strives to show that he is the smart choice. But the others are all talk. I was listening while Jake Tapper interviewed Governor Kasich. He asked the governor if he is, as he announced in the past days, that he is not going to vote for Trump if he becomes the republican nominee . . his answer was neither yes nor no . . . he replied: "I know and even you know that he will not be the republican nominee!" The question is so simple . . it has to be answered either yes or no! I am sure Trump was shaking his head . . . and saying - STUPID!

Well, that is what I think! In fact, I understand that he is carrying a handgun all the time. . . And he is not scared to say things not politically correct. He got high not low energy like some of his republican rivals. . . And with the grave problems that America and the world are facing . . political correctness is no longer applicable. I think a kid like Rubio and a low energy like Bush are the last Americans want as their ultimate leader these days!

@boiboing OH, that is one tough thought of yours about Hillary. I like Hillary, too. She is smart. Her husband is smart and tough. Two smart people back in the white house. That would be nice. Anyway, Bill Clinton is a changed man as far as you know what I mean.

@antonbunot You seem to have only assessed one half of the competition. Perhaps Hillary has more balls than all the Republicans put together.

Sorry my friend, but Trump is a moron. All he is is a media hoe. He loves the spot light and knows how to rile people up. He is not even a very good business man. he should have stayed with his TV show. He would be the ruination of this country.

Moron is a hard word to describe the candidate that is topping the polls way up above the others. I don't think he is a moron or stupid. I think he is smart not only for being a successful businessman but also how to get ahead of his republican rivals in the polls. He knows how to win . . . and what America needs is a winner not losers - - the word

Wrong for sure. Trump is the most dangerous man in the United States to our freedoms, to our heritage and our very existence.

I hope you are right! But I can feel how sincere he is in his promise to make America Great Again! By the way, what period in the history of America that it was great?!

@antonbunot At the end of World War II for instance, but America has always been great. Its greatness would be smeared and diminished by the election of a bigot like this blowhard Trump.

From what I did learn in school when I had to go there was this. For some reason it's not you who elects the president but the Elector College. Then to make decisions it is all the members of congress and a few hindered others. It just sound like it is them making the decisions. Sort of looks like everything has to be voted on before it goes in or a decision can be made.

You are right, @phoere . . . We never know what will actually happen. Fiorina may be the eventual republican nominee . . Who knows?

@antonbunot I had to go to school in the US for 5 years. When I hit high school I had to take a Government class as part of my requirements. I personally hated it and it showed me how different things were there than in France where I am from. Not saying it's bad but when we vote in France our vote counts. When you vote in the US your vote doesn't seem to count. Each state has so many Elector College votes and it is the state who decides on where they want them to go. So how fair is this. Why ask people to vote if the state you live in will decide on who get what votes from that state?

I cannot stand Donald Trump. He is arrogant, full of himself, egotistical, and a racist. He would set our country back 100 years. He will never become President. He is totally unqualified to lead our country.

I do not agree at all. I think someone with experience is what we need. Not someone that just barges through with no knowledge of what is needed. A blow hard that says he has the answers but can't explain any of them. No, I don't want him in office at all.

Well, you won't get a tongue-lashing from me. I have spent hours, no, WEEKS studying the candidates, and especially Trump. I have his Art of the Deal, but I read it awhile back, and was not impressed with it. I thought it was fluff. Maybe I missed something. But since he has been running, I have made it my job to watch almost all of his rallies, and many of his interviews. I also read commentaries, both good and bad, by journalists and others who have something to say. He is easy to pick apart, as he sets himself up. I never watched the Apprentice. Not one episode. Not because I didn't think it would be OK, but because I didn't have a TV for most of those years.
If I based my choice this election on party, I might vote for Hillary, because I am a registered Democrat. But she has been so bought out by corporations it is not even funny. She hired one of the biggest guys in Monsanto to head up her super PAC. That did it for me. She is a puppet to industry, and is a money monger. I do not trust her, and watching her in her speeches, her rallies and in the courts regarding Benghazi, I shudder to think she will be running the free world, possibly. Did I say she was evil? No, you didn't hear that. But I am also so against abortion (I wasn't always) I cannot go that route now.
Trump has his issues, for sure. If he were my neighbor (I would live in a different neighborhood) and were not running for president, I doubt I would like him much at all. But in this capacity of president, he is strong, he so loves America, he has great business sense and education, he knows how to deal with foreigners, as he has property in other countries, and deals with China, and other investors constantly. Success is in his blood. Winning is what he knows how to do. That is what we need. And he will select some of the best negotiators to help him. No one in the field, on either side has his brains, (148 I.Q.) or his instinct for making things happen.
He has morphed into more of the strong leader, more appropriate as time has gone on. It is my hope for all of us that he gets in. I wish others would spend some time looking a bit harder at him, without focusing so much on his political incorrectness. That, actually, can be in our favor.

Wow! That is what is in my mind, too, about the Donald. Lots of commenters here think he is stupid/moron. He is not a moron . . . what he is doing is his unique style or strategy to win. And I think his unconventional strategy in this campaign is working. He is leading in the polls way ahead of his nearest rival. Americans do not need another Obama or Bush. And most of these candidates are like Obama and Bush. We need one that is tough and excellent deal-maker. If one could not answer a simple question RIGHT like Governor Kasich, he should not be running for president.

@antonbunot I wish others would spend more time studying this man. He is ahead in the polls so far because we see his strengths, his heart, and his energy. We know he can say things that are unheard of, but I think he throws stuff out that he is just considering, and thinking about. Some of them are shocking, but that's who he is. He isn't as polished and fake as many, who only tell you what you want to hear. He has tremendous capacity to grow and learn, and he won't be eaten alive by pressure. He can do pressure and not blink. I think the most pressure I have seen him exhibit was at one of his rallies where a heckler had to be removed. It was only momentary, but he handled it well. I like Cruz, too, and think he would make an excellent VP. I think they would make a great team.
