Crazy Heidi

So, I have a few cats... quite a few cats. Gabby is our '03 cat, so she's one of our older cats. Heidi is, however, only 3 years old and is our youngest.
Heidi was on the seat of the rocking chair and Gabby was up on the back. Heidi looked like she was going to jump on Gabby, but Gabby was looking at her.
Then, Gabby started off the back of the chair and Heidi jumped about a foot in the air, and backwards, landing half on the chair and half on the heater (that has been off for a day or so because of the beautiful weather.)
Of course, I had to laugh. I often get frustrated with the cats, but they can also be so entertaining at times!

Sounds as if you have some semi flying beasties. Enjoy the laughter.

Heidi is such a lunatic! Just a minute ago she was under the throw I've put over the rocking chair, both to stop the cats from clawing it and to cover up the ugly print. She was trying to stalk Taj, the oldest of my cats, but he had stepped just out of reach. I don't think he even knew she was trying to get him.

@Hatley Way back when I was first out on my own, my then roommate had moved in with this skittery black cat. I had put a mirror flat on the floor to see what the cats would do. Bast (the cat) walked on to the mirror then glanced down. She flew up in the air and her feet started running like you'd see in a cartoon. She hit that mirror, didn't get any traction for a moment before she finally got off the mirror. I was nearly collapsing with laughter!

@simone10 he seems to want to play with ones that will stay on the floor. Taj sent his sneezing when he stuck his nose where Taj didn't want it. Spark really seems to want to be friends, but those feral tendencies he has also makes him wary.

Its funny, Boe wants to play with the cats, but not really wanting to play with some of the ones who want to play with him. He will play with Daisy, she'll lay in a chair and bat at him through the back of the chair. Sparky seems to want to rub on him, but Boe isn't too sure about that!

@Butchcass4 I don't agree with saying that kids are mean to animals by nature. We weren't and none of our friends were. They are a responsibility and can be expensive. I don't think giving a pet to a child and then expecting that child to be responsible for everything about the pet is a good idea, but I also think you shouldn't not get a pet because you have a child is a good idea.

I understand they are a lot of responsibility and cost to have them. And since kids are usually mean to animals by nature its not the best time to have them

Cats, at least when they are young, are so entertaining. Our tabby, Colbert, can stretch up and turn the knob on the door to open it.

Cats are wonderful to watch. We had one for 17 years his name was Star and we had to have him put down several months ago, we still miss him so much. Enjoy them while you have them.

@Butchcass4 We had to put our Star to sleep too. She wasn't affectionate, but she was sweet.

@sugartoes With all my cats, I just leave a few toys out, hope Boe, the youngest dog, doesn't eat them and they get played with. They also play with each other.

@sugartoes no, Boe is a chew-y dog, he's destroyed all his own toys and Cujo's bed...

My children have always wanted to keep a cat or dog, but at this moment, I just can't handle too much.
