Its a good night to watch an old fashioned not that old of a Christmas movie. Pathos and poverty and a tug of emotional war between father and daughter and some sweet magic: Prancer. The original Prancer. Small town snow bound America? A little girl who needs magic with all her being? Go for it. Even Abe Vigoda as a picked on, weary animal doc.

My favorite old fashioned Christmas movie is "A Tree Grows In Brooklyn". I cry every time I watch it.

Right now I am watching Coat on Many Colors based on the song Dolly Parton wrote it is quite good.
