Little six year Max has come back home to Boise. About a year ago an inattentive driver hit Max while he was riding his beloved bike near his home here. His father was nearby and saw the lady hit Max with her car. He called out to her and she just speeded up taking Max under her car. His dad said he just disappeared under the woman's car as she sped off. Finally she was stopped and poor little Max had been taken up under the motor of the car. Burned to bone in some areas he was in bad shape. His pelvis, chest and lungs were crushed. He had burns over 60% of his body. After over a dozen surgeries and many skin grafts little Max has come home. Tears streamed down my face as I heard this tonight. I had been waiting to hear how he was but hadn't heard anything for a long time now. I guess he was doing so much better he was able to barrow a trike and was riding around the hospital toward the end of his stay. It is a miracle he is still alive and has come back home to Boise. What a guy! The lady was charged with attentive driving. I have some words for her that I can't use here.

Me too. I think that woman should be charged with attempted man slaughter or something more than she was.

Awh, so glad the little guy is on the mend..the woman who did that needs a pay a hefty fine and spend time at a animal shelter.

The only think I can figure, and doesn't forgive her at all, but perhaps she didn't realize she had hit the little fellow and thought it was a trash can or something. Surely she didn't know it was a little human.

@LadyDuck ...I wonder if she just thought she had hit a trash can or something. She obviously didn't take it very seriously.

Oh my, goosebumps and tears in my eyes, I would have words for that woman too and hopefully she doesn't have a drivers licenses now. I can't imagine that tiny one making it back home, thank goodness to modern medicine and people who care. Thanks for sharing that.
