Playing in the puddle

It's raining season here, so it's been raining heavily almost everyday.
We still go to the park, but only when the rain has stopped. As I am pregnant now, I don't want to take any risk to get sick. There are puddles around the park.
Sometimes my children just play in the playground set, sit on the swing. Sometimes they play in the puddle. It's so much fun to see them playing in the puddle, stepping, jumping, running and lying down.
The children just played in the puddle, and they haven't had enough fun yet. So now they are washing their clothes and slippers in the yard. It's good, so it ease my work.
I think I have never played in puddle before, as my parents didn't allow us to do so. Even now when they see my children do that, they are not so happy with it.
Do you let your children play in the puddle? Did you like playing in the puddle?

Kids love puddles. I would let them play. Then take them home for a warm bath and some hot chocolate. They are kids for such a short time and need to have fun and enjoy themselves. It's been very rainy here.

@celticeagle That's really nice. As we do not have winter here and almost everyday is a hot day so I am not too afraid the kids will get cold, but having a hot drink sounds good!

It's okay. I was afraid I have used the word incorrectly, hope I wrote it right.
I just found this definition from wikipedia, hope it helps you to understand better: "A puddle is a small accumulation of liquid, usually water, on a surface."
I also attached a picture of puddle that I have found from wikimedia. I couldn't find a picture of my children playing in the puddle.

@salonga You're welcome. I wanted to check whether I have used the word wrongly too.
Yes, the water might not be clean, that's why many people won't allow the children to play there. It's rain water and it's at the park, so I am fine with it.

Yes, I let my son play in puddles when he was younger. My mother-in law didn't like it so much. She wasn't the one who had to clean him up so I don't know, why it bothered her so much. My mother would go out and play with him in the puddles. I do so miss my dear mother.

Your mother is great!
Both my parents and parents-in-law don't like it. They think the children might get cold, they think the water is dirty, they think the children might get sick, and yes, also the clothes will be dirty. But, who cares? My children have never get sick because of playing with water, and I am the one who wash the clothes or sometimes the children wash it themselves.
