Off to play a gig out in the sticks. Hope the roads arent flooded.

The County band I'm is off to play a gig for a private party out in farm country. Our bass player is sick, so we'll be playing as a trio today. I'm hoping the roads won't be flooded--we had a pretty good rain last night and this morning. I think we've decided to go without a bass player. I could play bass, but we decided to stick with guitar and mandolin because they're easier to haul. Wish us luck!

Heh. We had a stroke of good luck. It stopped raining by the time we were loading and unloading the instruments and other gear.

@Asylum Oh, I've done some silly things, like doing a face plant while carrying two instruments. Fortunately, I've never broken an instrument that way

Vanny, DJ, and I are working on one of one of my groups playing a song. But Vanny has been under the weather lately. There are a couple of videos of my "old guy" band playing a couple of songs. Have you seen my solo stuff?

That would have been cool! The gig was fun. People were eating while we played, so there weren't that many applause. But socializing between sets was fun. Folks said they enjoyed the music.
