I Quit - The Gift Wrap Department is now CLOSED until next year!

I made a little designated gift wrap area in what the previous owner referred to as her 'sewing room'. I don't sew, but we find all kinds of uses for that little room. At Christmas time it becomes the Gift Wrap Department - I loaded it up with my tape dispenser, scissors, pens, tags, paper, ribbons and bows. That way I can leave everything out where it's easy to get to and then shut the door so one one sees what I'm wrapping! Her sewing table has lots of room for the supplies plus space to wrap. Very handy indeed. It has been in use for several weeks but today I finished wrapping the last gift, something for the mail-lady. Now I can move those items back to where they will live until needed again. Plus I get to turn that table back into my clothes folding table! I'm a happy camper - and I'm all wrapped up! Photo belongs to me.

That's good that you're all wrapped up. Isn't it great to have a little room that can turn its space to anything?

Yes it is and we also use it for some of my husband's 'professional' equipment like his meat slicer and meat grinder. Stuff that would take up too much space in the kitchen.

For years I had to wrap in my bedroom on a soft bed, which is a terrible surface. I would love a little room like that. I can think of many things I would like to go and do by myself.

I don't wrap presents. I just stick them in bags. I know it's a lazy way, but it saves time. I have a joke. What music does elves like? Wrap Music.

I wonder if the room was given that name because the previous owner used to see the gift wrapping together.

I remember back a few years when I was dating this certain person. To be nice I offered to wrap a couple presents he had gotten one day while we were out. Boy! Was that a mistake. I was the designated wrapper until I put a stop to it. I mean this guy had brothers and sisters, and nephews and nieces and ......!! My hands were tired.

I could just about wrap my own parcels. I would not have the confidence to wrap anyone elses.
