The 25 least visited countries in the world

I recently read an article about the 25 least visited countries in the world. There are several reasons why some countries aren't popular tourist destinations. In some cases the tourists stay way because they are worried about their safety. Some countries have few flight connections and plane tickets are expensive, and in some countries it is difficult to get a visa.
I am not surpriced to find countries like Afghanistan, Somalia, South Sudan and Libya in the list, but there are also many small countries like some of the countries in the South Pacific. The least visited country in the world is Nauru (160 visitors per year)
Would you like to visit countries off the beaten track? Did you ever visit a less wellknown country?

Today I pay attention to safety much more. If a country is dangerous, I will not be interested in visiting there even if everything is convenient. Then I will consider the budget and whether it is easy to get a visa. The world is so large and I want to go to the popular countries at first.

I understand that. It is important to pay attention to our safety, and it is best to stay away from certain areas of the world. There are plenty of other countries to explore

@Porcospino Your country is beautiful and I would like to visit it one day. But it is also not easy for me to get a visa. I have to hand in many documents.

We always have to consider our safety when we travel. Some countries are interesting but not really safe to visit at least not at the moment. It think that it could be interesting to visit some of the small and less wellknown countries around the would, but I also find many of the popular countries interesting.

I have to honestly say I will never visit Nauru but then I probably won't visit Tahiti either

I'm surprised that Nauru has so few visitors. It will get more now as Australia is sending our refugees (boat people) there.
