Will Tennessee ever have a casino?

Living in the State of Tennessee is living in the buckle of the Bibble Belt. Having moved here from New Jersey there are things we found quite different.
When we first started coming here for vacations many counties were dry and many still are dry.
When we first moved here there was no state lottery. That didn't begin until around 2003.
There is no bingo - not money bingo at churches or such. That I miss, I really enjoyed playing money bingo.
Now, there is talk about approving a casino for Tennessee. I don't see it happening. Those in East Tennessee who want to visit a casino can head over to Murphy, NC and check out the new casino there or the one in Cherokee, NC. Or head south to Alabama or any of the other states where you can test Lady Luck.
I don't think it will fly and it won't bother me if it doesn't. I lived in New Jersey most of my adult life and only went to Atlantic City twice, so I doubt I'd be throwing money away at a Tennessee casino.
What about you, do you spend time at a casino? Do you have to travel far to a casino?

I think I gave myself a $35 limit and then quit when I got to $10 left.

I have lived in Monte-Carlo for 25 years, the city has four casinos, but only one is really beautiful, built in 1850, with wooden interiors. I never played at the Casino, but they had a nice small snack bar inside and we loved to go there for an evening snack.

@AbbyGreenhill This was what I enjoyed, the Monte-Carlo Casino is very quiet, in the so called "Private" area, there are no slot machines, only roulette, so no noise and a very good service.

See, that I would enjoy - just have something to eat and people watch.

I go maybe once a year, it's a 2 hour drive, I have a very carefully set budget and dont go in with a cent more.
