How To Win At Charades and Lose All Your Friends

I hate the parlor room party miming game known as Charades. I would sooner just drink and chat with people. Occasionally however, the game is inescapable. Some Charades titles are easier than others to mime out. If you get the film title Jaws you just point to your teeth and someone guesses it in seconds. Longer, more complicated and obscure titles are harder. As you win a game your prize is that you pick the Charade the next player has to perform, here are the worst film, TV show and book titles to inflict on them if you never want them to talk to you again. These are genuine titles. Movie – The Effects Of Gamma Rays On Man In The Moon Marigolds. TV Show – Why Don’t You Just Switch Off Your Television Set And Go Out And Do Something Less Boring Instead? Book Title – The High Rise Glorious Skittle Skat Roarious Sky Pie Angel Food Cake (by Nancy Willard). I saw the TV series but not the others. Be sure to inflict them in Charades before someone gives them to you to do. Arthur Chappell

That particular film could be a little hard to mime, even if you stood outside of a cinema showing the film at the time.

yes, and I'm surprised they got the title on the poster - it was apparently directed by Paul Newman

I hate charades too specially I am the one who will act the words. Well, as you have said this kind of game in inescapable in this holiday season. So I just participate, enjoy the fan and laugh all along to all the stupidity we will might do. Haha

These are terrible titles. I would never give these to people to try to act out. I don't think it is in the spirit of the game. You're joking, aren't you?

I did that when I was about 13. Some obscure UFO book that nobody had heard of. After that, I learned to appreciate solitude.

In general I prefer to chat too-the thought of party games...gives me a headache. I would sometimes participate to not be a complete gringe but...oh gosh, headache coming at the thought of it.
