The Hoofing Cough!

It's actually the Whooping cough, but I called it the hoofing cough earlier by mistake. I've heard it's going around, and I think I've caught it. In all honesty I think two of my coworkers had a case of it, one might still do.
I was coughing all night, hardly could stop. It was exasberated by the tasks I had to do. I picked up some lozenges before leaving work, and I have cold medicine that should help as well.
Another thing I picked up before leaving work is another shift. Yep, I have to go in tonight. I'm not even going to complain because I know what I am getting myself into when I agreed to come in. Monday can't come soon enough.

I think that the Hoofing Cough is when you have a hoarse
throat as well as a ghastly tickly cough. It's been going around here, too, and I've had it (which is very annoying when you are trying to find out what kids want Santa to bring them for Christmas).
Whooping Cough is quite different and much more serious. It's mostly children who get it, not adults, and it does require time in bed and isolation. I think you'd know if you had that!

I am still coughing some but it wasn't as bad as last night. I think it must have been the chemicals on the detergent aisle that got me the worst.

It's a dangerous cough and there is a vaccine to prevent it for those susceptible to getting it. I've always associated it with children.

I've always heard it can be a dangerous cough. I don't know for sure that it is what it is. While I still feel the tickle in my throat, and am still coughing, it's not as bad.

You are very hardworking woman! I hope that you went to the doctor for this. If not well maybe you should, besides you need rest. Do you believe in alternative medicine?

I bet you need to strengthen your immune system. Zinc and Vitamin C is good. Hope you are better.

They are not fun. Two coworkers had fits of coughing over the last two weeks. I suppose I just have the same.
