I'm Missing the Christmas Party

Tomorrow my classes will be having their Christmas parties. It will be their last day of school before the Christmas break begins. I really wanted to be there, but my doctor told me this morning that I needed to stay home. My husband is taking all of the supplies for the party over to the school so the kids won't miss out. I am very fortunate in that I have fellow teachers who are willing to pitch in and make sure my kids have a happy time. I am finding that the spirit of Christmas is alive and well at my school.

I am sorry that you have to stay at home, it's a shame to miss the party.

@HazySue Ask your husband to take a lot of photos, so you can look at them later.

Well glad the kids we'll still have a good time and good christmas party even with you not being able to be there. I hope you feel better soon

@Blondie2222 I called and spoke to them on speaker phone. They were having a great time.

Oh no... it's a shame but I suppose it's best to follow your doctor's recommendation.

@Abby Greenhill I gave special instructions to several people to take pictures. I should be able to get a couple of good ones out of that. At least the kids will still have their party.

I hope that you are not too ill - is it something that you don't want to pass on to the children?

@jaboUK I have fluid in my lungs and since my lungs are already compromised by PAH and other wonderful initials they don't want me to get worse by being out and about.

If it is possible and your computer (or cell phone ) and one of the ones at school have web cams you could visit for a few minutes thanks to modern technology and perhaps feel like you were there and wish the kids a Merry Christmas yourself.

@Elizaby I spoke to them over the phone. I miss not being there but they were still having a ball. I am so thankful for the help of my fellow teachers.
