Wrapping Or Bagging

I was just wondering if you still wrap your presents in boxes with lovely and colorful Christmas papers and top them all up with fancy ribbons? In my situation here, I have switched to give my gifts in fancy bags instead. My arthritic fingers give me too much trouble to want to be bother with wrapping. I find it a lot faster too, it only takes me a fraction of the time that I used to spend on wrapping boxes. Which way to your prefer to give your gifts in?

Since the gifts don't leave this house, I use paper and some gets bows, some don't.

So the gifts are just for you and your husband then.

@marlina Yes, it's just us here. I did buy for the mail lady and the dental hygenist, but that's about it.

Mostly we wrap, or should I say my husband wraps. I stink at wrapping. It's way cheaper as well. After Christmas I go to Dollar Stores and they almost always are selling their left over Christmas paper way cheap. Usually 25 or 50 cents a roll. So then I stock up.

I wrap using wrapping paper but i don't do bows or anything like that. I just keep it simple. Some of them i will put in bags depending on what it is.

I love gift bags but the kids like to tear the paper so most of their gifts are wrapped. I save any gift bags we receive for any occasion and I will reuse them if they are not torn or blemished.

Are we talking about those white (sometimes green or red) thin cardboard boxes? The ones that you have to unfold and place items in and then tape the bottoms of to keep them nice and secure? I only ever received clothes in them. I never have wrapped any presents in them though. Bags are easier, plus if you get a standard bag, it can eb re-used for different occassions.

@marlina Oh, for some reason I completely forgot about any old box. Boxes are somewhat easier for me to wrap. Then again I am terrible at wrapping presents. I will NOT attach a photo as evidence, but I can assure you I'm horrid at it. As for "ribbons" we use premade bows. I used to be able to do the scissor trick for curly ribbons but not so much anymore.

It would pretty much depend on the present concerned. If the item was in an original box then I would wrap it with Christmas decorated paper, which is very easy and quick.

I prefer the cute hat boxes from Hobby Lobby. They are structured and unique looking, plus they are sturdy and light weight. They are also already designed and seemed wrapped all I have to do is wrap a bow or tape it around with washi tape, attach a gift tag and it's all set.

I find that I still wrap anything that I give in a gift bag, so I just wrap my gifts. We don't buy many gifts, so its not so bad. Our son's girlfriend is a fancy wrapper. She makes those big beautiful bows and ties everything up just so, you almost hate to unwrap it, almost.

I absolutely hate wrapping presents I would rather have teeth pulled. You know my grand mother never ever wrapped a present in her life. She always gave us our presents in the bag it came from the shop. Sensible woman in my opinion. Maybe I have inherited her genes!

I still like wrapping gifts. I don't mind wrapping. And I think it's the fun part to unwrap a gift. :-)

I do both depending on the size of the gift. Sometimes I put the present in a gift bag and sometimes i use wrapping paper with a bow on it.

I love those really pretty bags and they are every bit as festive as wrappings and a lot easier for some of us to use too.

Over here, the shops offer free wrapping service, and that is the best solution. After you have paid, you just have to go to the counter and wait for your turn to get the free wrapping done for you.

I barely wrap anything they should be happy I had time to go to the store and grab a gift. I usually either just hand it to them, or put them in bags.

I can't wrap presents for anything! I usually put things in bags. This year I did wrap two presents for the kids I nanny though. They are 8 and 5, I wanted them to be able to tear the wrapping paper off their gifts!

I hate wrapping, easier if I have boxes to place it in, then wrap.
